Tesla Model 3 recorded sales of 113,397 vehicles in November 2021. These results made it the best-selling electric car in Europe. The second position is Volkswagen ID.3 with 63,109 units, followed by the Renault Zoe with 60,551 units.
Electric cars themselves are predicted to reach a record 11% market share by 2021. According to the author of the European Electric Car Report, Matthias Schmidt said that electric car sales in Europe would be higher than expected if there was no microchip crisis.
This increase occurs because car manufacturers have to sell products with CO2 emission limits that apply in Europe. Some manufacturers are in danger of losing their emission targets because they prioritize luxury cars that have higher profits, but produce high emissions.
Overall, Tesla is the manufacturer with the most sales of electric cars in Europe with a record 170,000 units. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Group achieved sales of 300,000 units, but was divided into several brands, such as Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Cupra and Porsche.
For information, the Tesla Model 3 is a four-door fastback-style sedan that was developed by Tesla and produced from mid-2017 ago. The official launch and delivery of the first 30 cars took place on July 28 of the same year. Furthermore, the Tesla Model 3 car is increasingly popular as Tesla’s best-selling car.
The latest edition of the Model 3 also provides an 82 kWh battery. This offers an increase in battery capacity. This evolution of battery technology provides even greater range. Combined with new tires and software improvements, the Model 3 beats its own record as the world’s most efficient mass-produced car.
Tesla promises a range of 423 km for the Standard Range Plus model or an increase of 21 km, a distance of 568 km for the Long Range with an increase of 50 km, and an increase of 25 km for the Performance variant with a total range of 507 km.
Despite having an efficient engine, the speed offered is still quite good. The most entry-level variant, the Standard Range, is capable of racing up to 209 km/hour.
